Kirby Hendee

Kirby Hendee was a politician in Wisconsin.

Biography

Hendee was born on March 12, 1923 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.[1] He graduate from Shorewood High School in Shorewood, Wisconsin and later graduated from the College of the Holy Cross and the University of Michigan Law School, after which he became a practicing attorney. During World War II, he served in the United States Army. Hendee was a member of the Society of the Holy Name and the Knights of Columbus.

Political career

Hendee was elected to the Wisconsin Senate in 1956.[2] Later, he was a member of the Committee on Rules and Order of Business of the 1960 Republican National Convention. That year, he was also a candidate for the United States House of Representatives from Wisconsin's 5th congressional district, losing to incumbent Henry S. Reuss.
